Kyxiel's Con Report

Well, as some of you know there was a convention in Ottawa, Ontario the past weekend called AC3. Some months ago Keily signed up for it...which meant that I had to show up or be prepared for one hell of an ear ache when Keily got her heart back. I won't bore everyone with the details. Instead, I shall name off the highlights.

-There was a pool. In a fit of righteous fangirl anger, Demyx was pushed into said pool by an annoyed KH2 fangirl who constantly had trouble with him in the Hollow Bastion level.

-There were many oldschool cosplayers. And when I mean oldschool....I mean Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask oldschool.

-Aerith was there, too. She had a VERY heavy basket full of flowers that needed to be weapons checked. We were all very amused.

-I had to dodge several crazy fangirls. In the end I was dog piled.

-I had to do a singing panel/workshop. It started off shaky, had an even shakier middle and had a spectacular ending. Apparently my singing left such an impression upon the people present that they asked me for an encore and autographs.

-At the j-pop/j-rock dance the Macarena began to play. I, dressed as Hatori Sohma, my friend, dressed up as a gothic lolita, another girl friend and Tuxedo Mask did the Macarena for a full six minutes. While ding so, we attracted people into doing the same in several different parts of the room.

-Roxas was there. He was constantly looking for Axel. A cute little ten year old promised him that he would go and help look for Axel.

-Namine was accompanying me the entire time. No one knew who she was...even Kairi didn't recognize her. Had she any emotions I think she would have been very disappointed...Had I not said oh, so unsubtly, "Hey, Namine, look...it's Kairi." Kairi's subsequent response was: "Oh, god. It's Namine! *glomp*"

-Sora was there, too. And so was Riku. Both of them kept missing each other at such incredibly pivotal moments to the point that even I was laughing my head off by the end of the weekend.

-I met Gir....a robot wearing a green dog suit. He said he saw a squirrel. I was amused.

-Keily won a fanfic contest award for Best Originality. It was for a KH2 fanfic called 'I'm Home'.


And, once again. I am tired. Very very, very, VERY tired. In all honesty...I think I'd rather be fighting a horde of evil dark lords than try and handle a hotel full of crazy, screaming fans.

*sigh*

And to think...Keily's already gotten us signed up for next year....
